Website Refresh or New Build
I work with academics, researchers, and independent practitioners — advisors, consultants, and similar professionals — whose website is outdated, hard to update, or doesn't exist yet. Here's how I help.
Who it's for
If your site was put together years ago and hasn't been touched since, doesn't reflect the quality of your work, or you don't have the time or technical comfort to fix it yourself — that's what I help with.
Service packages
Every project includes a clean, multi-page site — home, about, work, and contact — with a clear content structure, mobile-friendly design, and basic accessibility best practices included from the start.
Website Refresh
From$1,500
For a site that's outdated, hard to update, or doesn't reflect the quality of your work. I rebuild your existing content into something clean, modern, and easy for you to maintain.
New Build
From$2,850
For when you don't have a site yet, or need to start over. I design a new structure, content strategy, and look, organized around what you do.
Ongoing Updates
Add-on$450/year
An optional add-on to either package above: regular updates and small content changes to keep your site current after launch. One annual fee, not a monthly subscription.
Final pricing depends on the size and scope of your site. You'll get an exact figure after the discovery conversation, before any work starts.
What's included
In every project
- A clean, modern, multi-page site — home, about, work or services, and contact
- A clear content structure that organizes your work and credentials so visitors understand what you do at a glance
- Basic accessibility best practices — readable text, proper headings, alt text, and keyboard-friendly navigation
- A mobile-friendly, professional design that reflects the quality of your work
- Optional ongoing updates to keep the site current after launch
Not included
- Custom web applications or software
- Complex backend systems — databases, user accounts, payment processing
- E-commerce functionality
- Advanced integrations beyond standard tools like booking, forms, and newsletter signup
Anything outside this scope can be scoped separately as a custom project.
How it works
Discovery
We talk through your goals, your current site if you have one, and what you want people to take away.
Build
I design and build the site based on that conversation.
Review
You review the draft, and we make revisions together.
Launch
The site goes live. If you've chosen ongoing updates, that's where they start.
What clients say
“I am thrilled with my company website. Not only is it beautiful and effective, but the process of producing it with Letterhead was fast, efficient, and economical. Starting a new business can be stressful for many reasons; I am happy to report that working with Owen on the website turned out to be one of the most pleasant parts of the process.”

Common questions
How much of my time will this take?
Not much. There's a conversation at the start to understand your goals and your work, and a round of review once there's a draft to look at. Between those, the building is on me.
I'm not technical. Will I be able to keep it updated?
You don't have to be, and you don't have to do it yourself. Ongoing updates are available as an add-on, so small content changes and upkeep stay off your plate entirely.
I already have a site. Do I lose everything on it?
No. A Website Refresh is built around your existing content — I reorganize and rebuild it into something clearer and more current, rather than starting from a blank page.
What if I need something more complex than this?
Anything outside the scope above — custom software, databases, e-commerce — can be scoped separately as a custom project. It's worth a conversation either way.
I'm not sure what I actually need yet.
That's common, and it's what the free website review is for. Send the link to your current site and you'll get an honest read on where it stands, with no obligation to go further.
Not sure where your site stands?
Send me the link for a free, no-pressure review — a short note back on how your site comes across to a first-time visitor and a few specific spots worth updating. No obligation, and no sales pitch.
